The Lodger “Kicking Sand”

There is very little about the alt-rock of The Lodger that isn't a sheer delight. Jaunty guitars, memorable melodies, and that tiny, necessary drop of melancholy pervade their new album Grown Ups. The early, pre-grunge college radio of the 1990s were chocked full of bands with this kind of quality and promise, and here's to hoping another bunch of flannel-clad gloomies don't come along to scare them all away again.
