Sunny Day Sets Fire

I have to imagine there aren't many (any?) pop groups that can claim to have members from Hong Kong, Italy, Sardinia, Canada, and England besides London's psychedelic Sunny Day Sets Fire. Lead guitarist Max(Sardinia) says “Our music is the result of the clash of five different backgrounds that in most cases, come out in a very unconscious way. Any input coming out from anyone of us triggers something from the musical and visual imagery of the rest of the band members. [This] adds to initial ideas of the songs and in a way that often transform them into something a bit different.” True enough. Its equally surreal and catchy in a Sgt. Pepper sort of way, and will be showcased on their upcoming full-length Summer Palace, due 7/8/08.
