Lemonheads "Pittsburgh"

Has it really been 8 long years since Evan Dando deemed to give us a record under the Lemonheads moniker? Whew. Hearing it now, it certainly doesn't seem like it. Better than a pair of old shoes you thought you'd thrown away, or more apt, a bag of weed you've hidden from yourself for years, this new self-titled disc The Lemonheads (this time featuring Descendents members Bill Stevenson and Karl Alvarez) is a comforting moment of alterna-stalgia. If you've never heard The Lemonheads, this album isn't likely to win you over, but if you ever even remotely enjoyed them, the alternately coarse/melodic hymns to slacking is an unexpected postcard from a long, lost friend.
