With every year that passes, I meet more and more people that have no idea that Bjork once fronted a fantastic band called The Sugarcubes. That's too bad, really. While Bjork's solo output has far surpassed The 'Cubes in beauty, artistic scope and chart success, they nonetheless were a tight, interesting, groundbreaking outfit that deserves to remembered. They only had three full-length albums, all worth hearing, but a great place for the beginner is the singles collection The Great Crossover Potential. (Go for the remix album It's It after you've tastd everything else.) Download "Motor Crash"
Speaking of motor crashes, check out this errant caption to this picture from the LA Times website this week.
