Hot Sun & Cold Cocktails: The Flash Vegas Summer Reggae Mix 2007

I don't know if you've noticed, but it's hot outside. Here in Vegas, the temps haven't been below 100 in what seems like an eternity. And maybe it's just the season, but reggae, ska, and dub have really hit the spot these days. Inspired by a couple of good posts here in the MP3 Blogosphere, I cobbled together an hour-long mix of proper skanking--from trippy, spaced-out dub, to old classics and everything else that seemed to fit. Like any authentic reggae mix, it includes tunes written by Jack White, Sting, & Radiohead (ha!). So, crack a cold one, kick back, and enjoy. Keep cool, and cheers.

Lee “Scratch” Perry “Greetings”
The Clash “Police and Thieves”
English Beat “Mirror In The Bathroom (Adelphi Mix)”
Toots & The Maytals “Pressure Drop”
King Tubby “Loud Mouth Rock”
Baby Fox “Curlylocks”
Easy Star All-Stars “Exit Music (For A Dub)”
Tommy McCook “At The Dub Market”
The Dynamics “Seven Nation Army”
Bob Marley “Sun Is Shining”
The Police “The Bed’s Too Big Without You”
Peter Tosh “The Harder They Come” (Alternate)
The Heptones “Our Time Will Come”
The Specials “A Message To You Rudy”
Damien ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley “All Night”
